The finals have gone good so far. I have done good on Biology, Drama, Technology, & Reading 180. None were difficult. Today i have finals for English & Math. Yes, i am prepared. My final thoughts on the school year are that it has been a great school year.
One good thing about South Central is that it has some good schools. One thing that needs to improve is all the violence. Also people need to start cleaning up more. Yes, ii do like living here/going to school here. The school ii go to is good & has high test scores. The Three most important events that have had the greatest impact on making South Central, LA what it is today are the Watts Riots, the LA Riots and immigration.
One important thing that happened and has changes South Central today was the Watts Riots. I chose this because it shows how there was a mess and how the police do wrong things too. The police was just brutal with Marquette Frye. It was important because it had a big impact on South Central because they started to riot here too. I also chose this because Locke high schools and South west college were made because of the riots. Maybe if the watts riots wold have never happened South Central would be so much different than it is now & these schools would have never been constructed.
The second thing that ii think that is important to South Central was the LA Riots. The LA Riots began in 1992 after Rodney King was beaten by many police. The riots lasted 5 days. In the end 53 people died and there were 1 billion dollars needed to cover all of the damages. This is important because now we know that riots can start anywhere for anything. This riot caused many people loosing their homes. It just amazing that many years have passed and still some places haven’t recovered.
Another important issue is Immigration. Today there are many people immigrating from many places to here. Immigration will always be around unless the president allows people from other places to come live here. The police and Government just takes time and money to get immigrants. But whats the point.? They should be taking time to catch the real criminals. They sometimes get people that don’t even do anything. That’s just not fair. Immigrants are just normal people coming here to get a better life because maybe they have problems or something. They shouldn’t take the opportunity away from them.
These 3 events have now made a big difference in South Central and how it is today. I hope that in the future South Central gets better. But its all up to the people that want to change it. People should just try to fix things up & clean up in their community. If people don’t help it can get worst instead of getting better and we don’t want that.
My plans for summer break are to go to arizona & visit. Also to move. I can make sure by reading more. I don’t really like reading & ii will read.
I have reading 180 & Drama finals. I did not have to study anything for read 180 because i didn’t get the vocab that she gave us & for drama we are only going to be writing a paragraph about how we did on our project. Well right now the only thing ii can do is study the vocab. I think ii will do very good on these finals. I think ii will get a “B” for both period 1 & 2.
I feel good about the upcoming finals. I am ready for all finals. I am not worried about any. I plan to come to school & try my best on all finals.
Yes ii was able to talk to 2 teachers. They said my grades are good. Yes, they told me to come to school the whole day & to stop leaving early.

I think that ii will be ending my school good. ii dont have to retake any class. Yes, ii have been missing some days but ii am making up my work. This semester ii will end it good too. I have to turn in all of my missing work.
I got good grades throughout the whole year. What made it a good accomplishment is that ii reached my goal. I did all my work, een if ii turned it in late but ii did it.
Elaine Brown was born on March 2,1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When she joined the Black Panther she was a rank and file member. She got up all the way to the top & was the leader of the black panthers group. One accomplishment from Elaine is that she helped organize the first free breakfast for the children. She was a great leader because she was able to complete big responsibilities in her hands. She liked to help out people.
One of the biggest struggles for me has been my teenage life. I have lost a lot of people. Even though ii get over it they do make an impact in my life. All these things have made me stronger.
ii could turn in all my work & do good in test & quizzes. ii can start of the year doing my work. Do your work & try hard.
